SOLON, Ohio — Domestic violence: US 422
At 10:50 a.m. Sept. 29, Solon police aided state highway patrol officers in investigating a stopped car. The investigation revealed that a man, 21, of Warren, punched his girlfriend, 22. Also in the car was the couple’s 1-year-old child.
Police arrested the man and charged him with domestic violence.
Warrant arrest: S.O.M. Center Road
At 9:15 a.m. Sept. 24, an officer stopped a car that had a cracked windshield. It was subsequently learned that the driver, a Cleveland man, 29, was wanted on a Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
The man was arrested on the warrant and also cited for marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession, driving with a suspended license, and driving an unsafe vehicle.
Domestic dispute: Arthur Road
At 7:25 p.m. Sept. 24, a woman called police when her daughter, 14, grabbed her during an argument. No charges were filed.
Criminal mischief: Stockwood Drive
At 6:05 p.m. Sept. 25, a woman, 47, reported that she found what appeared to be human feces on her home’s front porch.
Obstructing official business: S.O.M. Center Road
At 11:15 p.m. Sept. 27, police found an occupied car parked in Solon Community Park, 6679 S.O.M. Center Road. Inside were two girls, 17, of Solon. The girls, who were drinking alcohol, initially failed to properly identify themselves.
They were both charged with obstructing official business, having an open container of alcohol in a stationary motor vehicle, and underage consumption of alcohol.
Criminal mischief: S.O.M. Center Road
At 11:45 p.m. Sept. 27, a boy, 15, threw a bell pepper at a passing Solon police cruiser. Police took the boy home and sent a report to juvenile court for a determination as to whether charges should be filed.
Cocaine possession: Cannon Road
At 9:15 a.m. Sept. 28, an officer stopped a car at Cannon and Perkins roads for an illegal window tint. In the car, police found a plastic bag containing cocaine. Driving the car was a Cleveland man, 45. Also in the car was a female passenger, 35. The driver was charged with cocaine possession and was cited for the illegal window tint.
Assault: Solon Industrial Parkway
At 12:20 p.m. Sept. 28, police were called to Anchor Industries, 30775 Solon Industrial Parkway, where it was reported that four 17-year-old boys were fighting. The boys were working at the business as part of a vocational program. The boys were uncooperative as police tried to investigate the matter. Charges have yet to be filed.
Improper handling of a firearm: Cochran Road
At 1:35 p.m. Sept. 29, an officer stopped a car that had illegally tinted windows. Three Cleveland men, ages 21, 21 and 19, were in the car. Police found a gun inside the vehicle.
The driver, one of the 21-year-olds, was found to be driving with a suspended license. Because none of the men admitted to ownership of the gun, all three were charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. The men were also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
