The 14-year-old girl was with friends in the 3100 block of North 11th Street just before 2 a.m. when the group heard multiple gunshots. The teen was rushed to a hospital but died of her injuries.
The 24-year-old woman was shot around 2:20 a.m. in the 2900 block of North 76th Street. She also died at a hospital. Her boyfriend is in custody, and police said alcohol appears to have been a factor.
Both cases remain under investigation. Police continue to seek unknown suspects in the death of the teen and are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the department at (414) 935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS or the P3 Tips App.
