A project developed by St. Paul, Minneapolis, HOURCAR, and Xcel Energy aims to encourage electric vehicle use in the Twin Cities by creating a network of electric vehicle charging stations and a car-sharing service powered by renewable energy.
The project — the Twin Cities Electric Vehicle Mobility Network — is expected to launch in 2021. In preparation St. Paul is hosting two online community meetings at the end of October discuss car-sharing services and proposed charging hub locations. There will be one meeting for each of the cities planned charging hub locations.
The Minneapolis meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 and the St. Paul meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 28. Meetings will be recorded and
