BRIDGEPORT — An overturned vehicle prompted first responders to shut down a stretch of Route 8 Wednesday morning.
Police, fire units and medics were dispatched to Route 8 south between exits 5 and 3 around 4 a.m. for a reported crash, according to the state Department of Transportation
Arriving units found an overturned vehicle and shut down the left and center lanes to investigate.
By 6:05 a.m., state police said Route 8 south was closed between exits 4 and 3 because of the crash.
