A 37-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a car in Brown County on Saturday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. 

The incident happened around 7:52 p.m. Troopers say a woman was walking northbound lane on U.S. 68 when the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado hit her. Missy L. Dickerson, of Batavia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, Seth Smalley, 37, of Mount Orab, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
