STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — With health care at the forefront of everyone’s mind during the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, one e-hail company is making it easier for medical staff to provide safe, timely transportation for their patients.
On Thursday, Lyft announced that its popular e-hail platform has been integrated with Epic, a leading electronic health records (EHR) system used by the majority of hospitals and medical schools throughout the country.
The new Lyft for Epic integration will allow health-care workers to provide transportation services and order rides for their patients directly from their health records, without having to switch to an outside Lyft platform.
