New electric vehicle startup puts charging station at Findlay Market

A new Cincinnati startup has put an electric vehicle charging station at Findlay Market – and hopes to put new charging stations throughout the region.

The station at Findlay Market, with two charging ports, replaces an older station that was often out-of-order, said Kevin Kushman, CEO of the startup Electrada, which launched in Over-the-Rhine in April.

The older station went the way of many grant-funded charging stations, Kushman said: from working well to working sometimes to barely working at all.

Electrada’s model hopes to fix that problem. They own and operate the stations they put in, so they make sure they stay in good working order, Kushman said.
