Manny’s Owner Nominated To San Francisco’s Transportation Board

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The owner of a popular civic engagement space in San Francisco’s Mission District has been nominated to serve on the board of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, the mayor’s office said Monday.

Manny Yekutiel, owner of Manny’s, a gathering space, cafe, restaurant and bookstore, was nominated by Mayor London Breed. Yekutiel is currently on the San Francisco Small Business Commission and is a member of the board for the Valencia Corridor Merchants Association.

Manny’s has been hosting public forums on a range of issues from COVID-19 to climate change to transportation including congestion pricing in the city.

“Manny knows how to bring people together and make sure everyone has a chance to share their diverse perspectives,” the mayor said in a statement.
