Armed duo fleeing home invasion caught after crashing into cop car, 2 other vehicles

Allentown police arrested two men on multiple felonies after they allegedly broke into a home while armed and a gunshot was fired, authorities said.

Officers responded to the break-in call just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of West Emmett Street, Allentown police Chief Glenn Granitz Jr. said in a news release.

No one home at the time of the incident was injured, police said.

Allentown police converged on the area, and the two suspects were observed running to a vehicle parked nearby, according to the release.

They attempted to drive off but struck three unoccupied, parked vehicles — including a police car — before their vehicle broke down and they were forced to flee on foot, police said. Patrol officers quickly took them into custody.

Granitz identified the suspects as Richard Robinson, 33, of Newark, New Jersey, and 34-year-old Kasson Green, who has no current address.
