Police investigating Belfast knife attacks release image of man on bicycle

Police investigating five attacks on women in Belfast city centre on Monday night have released an image of a man on a bike. 

Three women were stabbed and two assaulted by a silent and hooded or masked assailant on a bicycle, using a small but sharp knife.

The victims, who were aged between 19 and 22, suffered wounds to the neck, arm and the back of the leg areas.

Police now believe the same man may have attacked another woman earlier the same evening.

Police said they are “urgently seeking to identify the male in this image to assist them with their enquiries.” 

Any information can be provided to Detectives at Musgrave CID quoting reference 1886 of 12/10/20.

Lorain police investigating fatal bicycle crash | Lorain County

A 40-year-old Lorain man died after losing control and falling off of his bicycle Oct. 6 in Lorain.

Michael Mac Mahan succumbed to his injuries from the fall, according to a news release from the Lorain Police Department. 

At 1:07 pm., Lorain officers responded to the intersection of Fulton Road and East 28th Street for a serious injury crash involving a bicycle.

An initial investigation determined a motorized Huffy mountain bike, equipped with a 50cc engine, was traveling north on Fulton Road approaching East 28th Street, the release said.

Upon approach to the intersection, Mac Mahan lost control during a left-hand turn, ran off the left side of the road and collided with a utility pole, according to the release.

At impact, he was ejected off of the bike, stuck the utility pole and came to a final rest on the side walk.
