Woman jumps from moving car in Worcester leading police to suspect in stabbing, kidnapping

As police headed to a report of a stabbing in Worcester Tuesday morning, they spotted a woman jump from a moving car. Police say the male driver of the car turned out to be the suspect in the stabbing.

Police were called to the area of 186 Stafford St. in Worcester around 12:45 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. Officers found a 26-year-old man who had been stabbed several times. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to live.

“As additional officers responded to the incident, they observed a female jump from a moving vehicle in the vicinity of 3 Stafford Street,” police said.

The man driving the car ran but was caught by police.

Humboldt Park crash: Driver, 64, cited after car jumps curb, injures 2, including child

CHICAGO (WLS) — A 64-year-old man has been issued citations after his car jumped a curb, crashing into people on the sidewalk outside a church in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood Saturday.

Surveillance cameras were rolling the moment the car hit a man standing on the corner around 11:15 a.m. in the 4200-block of West North Ave on the city’s Northwest Side.

An 8-year-old boy and a 61-year-old man were injured in the incident, according to police.

The man didn’t see the car coming, but a Good Samaritan nearby saw the incident and rushed in to help.
