Vegan resident finds 50 pieces of chicken around his yard, chicken wing on car windshield: Fairview Park Police Blotter

Suspicious, Rivercliff Drive

On Sept. 22 a resident reported a man dressed in black, carrying a backpack, was walking in her backyard. He apparently came up the hill from the MetPark valley. Responding officers saw a man matching the description walking westbound in the street and checked on him. The man was found to have a felony sex offense warrant from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, and a history of trespassing and breaking and entering arrests. He was arrested on the warrant and turned over to the Sheriff’s Office.

Criminal mischief, West 214th Street

On Sept. 27 a resident reported that someone had placed over 50 pieces of chicken around his yard and car, with a chicken wing wedged underneath his windshield wiper. The man has a large sticker on his car, “Vegan”, which he believes precipitated the event and he offered names of possible suspects. A Westlake woman and a Cleveland man were contacted, both 18-years-old, and admitted to the incident. They voluntarily came to the police station, were arrested, booked, processed, and released on bond.

Theft, Woodstock Avenue

On Sept. 27 a resident reported his rear license plate was stolen while his car was parked on the street. He believes the theft occurred between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
